Mushroom growing

                    Unit has started mushroom growing in the darkroom nearby the NSS room. Jobson Jolly , NSS volunteer has taken the initiative to do the mushroom cultivation  as he was doing the same in his house and helping his parents. We have planned to train the cultivation procedure to all the volunteers after observing the success of the cultivation done .We have used the saw dust as the medium to grow the mushroom mycelium.

Training on Paper bag making

Our unit has organized a training programme on making packing paper bags. This has enriched the volunteers potential to combat the plastic menace in future. They have been urged to make value added products  from  ne s paper.

WORLD AIDS DAY RALLY

         NSS unit has organized WORLD AIDS DAY rally today . The PP unit of Taluk hospital  also participated in the event .Earlier Principal has given a talk on the importance of the AIDS day and its social impact and the necessity of awareness needed in this regard as it has no medicine discovered yet.  The precaution and awarenss are the weapons we have now. Principal has flagged off the rally . Mr.Shafeek (JHI) and Mrs. Sheela (LHI) of P.P.unit of Taluk  hospital and NSS Programme Officer Sri. Raju.K.N. ,Sri. Nassar Mundatt , volunteer leaders Basil varghese, Amal Binu and Bincy Benny led the rally. Rally started at 10am, went around the PO junction and to Kacherithazham  and back to school. The rally finished by 11.30am. Refreshment given to all the 100 volunteers who participated in the event.

KRISHIKKOOTTAM PROJECT 

November 21,2013

                     NSS Ernakulam ,has organized the state level inauguration of KRISHIKKOOTTAM PROJECT in the name of VIDYAHARITHAM at Palakkuzha Gov. Model  HIGHER Seconday School on 21.11.2013. The project was inaugurated by the Agricultural Minister, Sri. K.P.Mohanan . The function was presided by the Muvattupuzha M.L.A. Sri. Joseph Vazhakkan. The District Coordinator welcomed the gathering. NSS State coordinator Sri. Subairkutty detailed the project to the volunteers . From this unit following  4 volunteers  and programme officer were participated. Each Unit was given seed kit for vegetables. Volunteers : 1. Vaishnavi A.S. 2. Sreelakshmi 3.Abdul Samd 4.Sufail P.M
